Biography:

Painter of genre painting, rural scenes and landscapes with characters. He was credibly the pupil of his father, the painter of genre and interior painting, Charles Venneman ( 1803-1875 ) who was a pupil of F. De Braekeleer. Adopting the style of the latter, he painted anecdotal scenes in the style of D. Teniers and A. Van Ostade. Mostly, it is about inside of taverns with drunkards, about rural fête or about sentimental family scenes.
